Chief Engineer -    To serve on board the Company’s tugs during offshore towing activities and harbour towing operations.  The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of the engineering team on board and for the upkeep of the tug’s machinery and associated systems.  Candidates must be in possession of STCW 95 Regulation III/2 Chief Engineer Unlimited and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience serving as Chief Engineer on board tugs or AHTS.

Engineering Officer of the Watch-    To serve on board the Company’s tugs as an engine room watch keeping officer during offshore towing activities and as Chief Engineer during harbour towage operations.  Candidates must be in possession of STCW 95 Regulation III/1 Engineering Officer of the Watch Unlimited with a minimum of 1 year experience serving as engine room watch keeping officer.

Experienced Deckhand-    To serve on board the Company’s tugs during offshore towing activities and harbour towing operations.   Candidates must be in possession of STCW 95 Regulation II/5 Efficient Deck Hand certificate, STCW 95 Regulation II/4 Deck Watch Rating Certificate and ideally also in possession of STCW 95 Regulation III/4 Engine room Watch Rating Certificate.  The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience serving as deck watch rating on board offshore towing tugs or AHTS.

PURCHASING AND LOGISTICS MANAGER

Tug Malta Ltd is seeking to engage an energetic and experienced Purchasing and Logistics Manager to complement its Technical Department. The selected applicant will be responsible for source selection, procurement and the logistics functions associated with the Company’s needs for materials and services in line with its policies and procedures. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer the successful candidate will primarily:

Manage the Company’s supply chain ensuring that the stock of spare parts, consumables, fuel and lubricating oils at the Company’s stores and on the fleet are in stock on a timely basis, at the highest quality and at the most competitive prices.

The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain supplier relationships and be responsible for the warehouse/store management.

Candidate should ideally:

•    Have at least three years purchasing and logistics management experience and be technically savvy relative to the position;
•    Preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in related field;
•    Have solid analytical skills and computer proficiency; and
•    Possess professional interpersonal and communication skills.
